SUNFLOWER, Miss.–An apparent tornado touched down around 4 p.m. Saturday, in the town of Sunflower.
Photographs of the tornado-warned storm showed a clear “wall cloud”, though the National Weather Service had not confirmed whether it was a tornado as of Sunday morning.
Other photos showed homes, outbuildings and cars damaged, with plenty of trees down in the town.
No injuries had been reported.
Flooding had also been reported in Shaw, with flash flood warnings in effect early Sunday for Coahoma and Tallahatchie counties early Sunday.
