HERNANDO, Miss.–A man believed to be responsible for the killings of three people in Alamogordo, New Mexico, turned himself in to authorities in Hernando, said the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Dept.
Kane Mayes surrendered Sunday, after a search warrant at a home on Pecan Ridge Cove turned up at 2015 Subaru Outback believed to be related to the murders, along with other itms New Mexico detectives said were connected to the crime.
Mayes was charged with receiving stolen property after admitting to driving the Outback from New Mexico to Mississippi, and also being a fugitive.
He is awaiting extradition to face murder charges in New Mexico.
