Tupelo Man Accused of Credit Card Fraud After Buying 40 Bags of Dog Food

CARROLL COUNTY, Miss.–A Tupelo man accused in several credit card fraud cases has been accused of charging a pallet of 40 bags of dog food, a charge the credit card company later said was fraudulent and reversed, leaving the store holding the bag.
Bandon Barron, 40, was booked late last week on a false pretense charge, said Carroll County Sheriff Clint Walker.
The investigation began when that pallet was purchased at a Carroll County farm store by phone Feb. 18. Several days later the credit card company, which at first approved the purchase of more than $1,500, notified the store of the fraud.
Walker said when deputies began to look into it they found that Barron and another individual had been in trouble in Leake County for a similar reason.
