YAZOO CITY, Miss.–Yazoo City police say they are working on identifying whomever it was who stole a car, hit a chain link fence while fleeing police, then took off running.
That happened Saturday evening, said police in a Facebook post.
Officers got info on the stolen vehicle. Cops spotted it the same night. While they were chasing it, the driver lost control and hit the fence. The driver and passenger then jumped out and took off.
“To the passenger: You left a few items behind. We have completed collecting DNA evidence from one croc. You may come to the police department and retrieve your shoe and cell phone. Also, don’t worry about your snap streaks; we kept them going for you with pictures of all your favorite police officers,” said the Facebook post.
No names were released to the public and no arrests have been announced.
