YAZOO CITY, Miss.–Yazoo County deputies believe they intercepted a shipment of possible contraband headed for the Federal Correctional Institution in Yazoo City.
According to a release from the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Dept., deputies were conducting a roadblock on Hwy. 49 west about 10 o’clock Thursday night. They noticed three people acting suspiciously in one of the cars.
Inside the car they found several baggies of cigarettes, six cell phones and several charging cables, at least 73 boxes of Suboxone strips, duct tape, glue, and several other items.
Suboxone is a medicine designed to help people break off opioids, but can also be used for a high.
Deputies did not announce any arrests in the news release.
