GRENADA, Miss.–Convicted of selling a drug that’s destroyed lives, Bill Wayne Winters of Grenada County has learned his punishment: more than 12 years in the federal lockup.
That sentence was handed down by U.S. District Court Judge Glen Davidson after Winters pleaded guilty to the charge of distribution of meth.
A news release about the case did not provide details on Winter’s crimes.
“The defendant, a meth dealer, was willing to destroy lives in return for a profit,” said U.S. Attorney Clay Joyner. “Our office will continue our outstanding partnership with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics to get dangerous narcotics, and the people who sell them, off of our streets.”
