GREENVILLE, Miss. — Mayor Errick D. Simmons is hosting an in-person town hall Thursday evening alongside Congressman Bennie G. Thompson, giving residents a chance to voice concerns and hear directly from their leaders on key federal issues impacting the region.
The event will take place at 6 p.m. at New Hope First Baptist Church in Greenville.
According to organizers, the town hall will focus on the local effects of Trump-era federal cuts, including reductions to the Department of Education, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Social Security Administration. The discussion will also cover the economic impact of tariffs imposed during the Trump administration and other pressing federal policies.
