GREENVILLE, Miss. — Greenville Police are investigating two separate shootings that left two men injured on Monday.
The first shooting happened around 7:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of East David Circle. Officers found a Black male who had been shot while standing near a front yard. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and seeing a white Nissan driving erratically south on the street. The victim was taken to Delta Health Systems by ambulance. His condition has not been released.
The second incident occurred around 4 p.m. in the 400 block of North Cornell. Police say a man was shot several times outside an apartment complex after at least two people in a small white SUV began firing. That victim was transported to the emergency room by personal vehicle. His condition also has not been disclosed.
Investigators are following up on leads and interviewing people of interest in both cases.
