YAZOO CITY, Miss.–A bus driver in Yazoo City has been charged with felony hit and run. Police Chief Terry Gann says Cathy Donald, who was driving for the Mississippi Achievement School District knew the crash had happened, but left anyway.
The wreck was Friday afternoon just before 4. Gann told WJTV-TV Donald had dropped kids off at a stop and hit the door of a car while pulling away.
He said a child’s hand was injured.
Gann said Donald was tracked down and arrested and later was released on her own recognizance.
He said Donald had to submit to standard toxicology tests.
The school district released a statement saying they cannot comment and that the matter is under investigation.
