DREW, Miss.–The City of Drew in Sunflower County is looking for an interim police chief to serve while the current chief is tending to legal matters.
Chief Terry Tyler has been indicted in a shooting that happened at a Southaven restaurant in 2022, and is suspended without pay.
The city is looking for someone with both law enforcement and leadership experience.
Tyler was arrested in September on a charge of aggravated assault and says he plans to fight the accusation.
The city is accepting resumes until Nov. 1.
