CLARKSDALE, Miss.–It’s almost like it’s fall or something. A decrease in temperatures begins Monday with a high in the low 80s. But, by Wednesday high temperatures will be in the upper 60s, temperatures this part of Mississippi hasn’t seen for several months.
“Normals around this time of year, highs are usually around the upper 70s and then the overnight lows in the middle to upper 50s,” said National Weather Service forecaster Ashlyn Jackson.
By the middle of the week highs and lows will be ten degrees below those normal temperatures.
Jackson attributes the change to a cold front moving through Monday.
But, she said temperatures will rebound somewhat by the end of the week.
With the lower temperatures usually comes some precipitation. But, even though a front is moving through, this part of Mississippi is expected to remain dry. Caution is being urged during any outdoor burning.
