CLEVELAND, Miss.–The first day of fall is Sunday. But, in the Delta, it will not feel like fall.
High temperatures are expected to remain in the low 90s through Tuesday.

“Quiet and dry conditions are expected through the weekend into the middle of next week,” said National Weather Service forecaster Sharona Waddell. “Low rain chances, 20 to 30 percent, will return to the sea starting in the middle of next week ahead of an approaching frontal boundary.”

Waddell also said forecasters are watching the potential development of a tropical storm system.

“Potential tropical development in the southern Gulf of Mexico over the next several days will be possible. Models are showing some development. But, timing and track is uncertain,” said Waddell.

She said you should pay close attention to the forecast for any impacts it might have on Mississippi.
