ORLANDO, FL (Ben Caxton) — After playing catch-up with other fast-food chains, Kentucky Fried Chicken is testing a new, premium chicken sandwich. The KFC âCrispy Colonelâ debuted two years ago but the new KFC Chicken Sandwich claims to be an upgrade, with a 20% larger extra-crispy chicken filet and thick pickle on a buttered brioche bun. It costs $3.99 – a combo meal with fries and a drink is $6.99 and itâs being test-marketed at 15 locations in Orlando, Florida through June 21st. If successful the new sandwich could roll out to KFCâs 4000 US locations.
