INDIANOLA, Miss.–A truck driver from Indianola shot and killed another truck driver at the Love’s truck stop on Hwy. 82, Sunday evening. He then shot and killed himself.

Indianola Police Lt. Irish Johnson described the situation as “domestic”.
“One stays in Indianola and the female truck driver just came into Love’s,” he said. T%he two got into an argument and went to 24-year-old Quovadis Davenport’s house. Police were called about the argument. Johnson said when they got to the house the woman was there, but Davenport was gone.
They called Davenport and told him to stay away from his girlfriend while they both cooled off.
Rather than heed that warning he went back to the Love’s where the woman’s truck was parked.
“He broke the passenger side window of her truck and shot her several times,” said Johnson. He then shot himself.
Davenport died at the scene. The woman, whose name has not been released, pending notification of family, died on the way to the hospital.
