Trump Signs First Of Several Emergency Funding Bills

WASHINGTON, DC (Ben Caxton) — President Trump signed the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2020 earlier this month which provides $8.3 billion in emergency funding to help federal agencies respond to the COVID-19 outbreak. $100 million is being given to 1381 health centers across the country including $1.4 million for 20 community health centers in Mississippi; over $66,000 is going to Aaron E. Henry Community Health Services in Clarksdale. The funds will address screening and testing needs, buy medical supplies and boost telehealth capacity.
