Tunica County Authorities Arrest Two in Connection with Stolen Firearm After Fatal Crash*

ROBINSONVILLE, Miss. — Two people were arrested following a fatal vehicle accident on September 23, 2024, in Tunica County, where a firearm was reported stolen from the scene.

The crash involved two vehicles at the intersection of Casino Strip Extended and Kirby Road, resulting in the deaths of both drivers, identified as Nicholas Paul Stafford, 29, and Ruby Gene Watney, 36, both from Tate County.

In the wake of the accident, the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office discovered that a firearm had been taken from the scene. Within 48 hours, deputies arrested Jonathan Parr, 59, and Christina Brumback, 42, both of Hernando, Mississippi. Parr faces charges of possession of a stolen firearm and being a felon in possession of a stolen firearm, while Brumback is charged with accessory after the fact.

Authorities have recovered the stolen firearm. The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office extended thanks to the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in the investigation.
