Tunica Man Charged in Connection to Shooting that Left Woman Severely Injured

A Tunica man is in custody in connection with a February 2023 shooting that left a woman seriously injured.

De’Marion Hamilton, 28, was arrested by the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office for his alleged involvement in a violent crime that occurred on February 5, 2023, in Robinsonville, Mississippi. Authorities received a 911 call at approximately 3:05 a.m. reporting a woman with gunshot wounds on Casino Center Drive.

Deputies arrived at the scene and found a Black female suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was treated by Pafford Emergency Services before being airlifted by Wings to Region One Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. The victim survived her injuries.

Hamilton has been charged with attempted murder, drive-by shooting, shooting into a vehicle, and conspiracy. Two other suspects, who remain unidentified, are also implicated in the crime, and John Doe warrants have been issued for their arrest as of Thursday, September 5, 2024.
