JACKSON, MS (1138 AM CDT Sun Apr 12 2020) — The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Morehouse Parish in northeastern Louisiana West Carroll Parish in northeastern Louisiana until 1245 PM CDT. At 1137 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Sterlington, or 9 miles southwest of Bastrop, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe thunderstorm will be near Bastrop around 1145 AM CDT. Galion around 1200 PM CDT. Goodwill around 1210 PM CDT. Oak Grove around 1220 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Kilbourne, Forest, Bonita, Collinston, Mer Rouge and Pioneer. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
