YAZOO CITY, Miss.–The detainees at the Yazoo County Regional jail may have been ready for a party this weekend. But, Yazoo County deputies foiled those plans when they discovered some of the party items in a small pile just inside the fence.
According to a news release from Yazoo County Sheriff Jeremy “Bull” McCoy, deputies noticed two people in all black just outside the jail fence just after 1 a.m.
Those people ran and have not been caught.
Inside the fence were 14 Sprite bottles and 7 Coke bottles full of booze and four black bags. When they cut the bags open the found them to be packed with marijuana.
“We will continue to make every attempt possible to keep this kind of behavior from entering the facility,” said McCoy.
