Battalion One responded to a fire along Lowry Rd in Boyle during the overnight hours.
A small fire was extinguished and firefighters noted that the occupant lacked smoke detectors. Members had recently used donated funds to purchase some for just this purpose and FF Shawn Brewer, LT Chris Smith, CPT Tony Robinson, and FF Talbot Brooks assisted the resident with installation before they cleared the scene.
