While it might seem exciting, authorities are urging everyone to exercise caution. Remember, this is a wild animal and should not be approached.
The Mississippi Department of Wildlife and Fisheries has been contacted and is responding to the situation. The public is advised to stay away from the area and limit traffic where the cub was seen. If you spot the bear cub, please call the Greenville Police Department at (662) 378-1515, option 1, or dial 9-1-1.
