Delta State’s Aviation Program Reports Increase in Enrollment

SHARE NOW

CLEVELAND, Miss.— you might have heard about some problems at Delta State recently with enrollment and fundamental changes that have come to the university because of two few students attending. One college in the university has reported just the opposite.

One of Delta State’s signature programs is its aviation department. The College of Business and Aviation is reporting a 23 percent increase in enrollment over the past academic year.
According to an article published on its website, the university reports that in that college, enrollment has increased from 527 students to 650.
Just one month ago, the university announced fundamental changes in almost all departments due to a decrease in enrollment. It is the only public university in Mississippi to have made such changes. Those changes included cuts to positions and restructuring to accommodate a lower budget.
