Downtown Cleveland Traffic Flow, Roads, And Parking To Be Changed

SHARE NOW

Changes are coming to the direction of traffic flow to a portion of Sharpe Avenue.

In an effort to increase available parking and optimize the traffic flow downtown, the area of Sharpe Avenue lying between North Street and South Street will be converted to a one way street with diagonal parking on both sides.

This change will allow this portion of Sharpe Avenue to become consistent with the northern half of Sharpe Avenue which already flows in one direction.

Construction is set to begin on Monday, March 28th, 2022, primarily after normal work hours to minimize traffic disruptions. Construction is projected to take 10 – 14 days to complete.

The parking along this street WILL remain open to traffic during construction.

Public Works will place barricades at the North Street and Court Street intersections with “Do Not Enter” signage to prevent South bound traffic.

Sharpe Avenue will remain open to North bound traffic.
