FRIARS POINT, Miss.–A Monday morning fire in Friars Point completely consumed a house on Joyce Nolan Thomas St., says the Coahoma County Fire Department.
The call came in at 2:14 a.m. and by the time fire crews from Lyon, Lula, Friars Point and Coahoma County got there, the flames were shooting up and the house was already mostly burned.
Firefighters worked on the fire for about three hours and photos from the scene show the house was likely a total loss and so was at least one car.
No one was reported hurt.
