HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss.–The murders of four people in Holly Springs that was originally thought to be a drive-by shooting, was actually a murder-suicide, says Marshall County Sheriff Kenny Dickerson.
Three women were found shot to death inside a car Sunday night and a man was found dead on the ground near the car.According to information gathered since, two of the women were visiting from Memphis, while the man and one of the women were or had been in a relationship, which produced a three-year-old girl.
That child was the only survivor of the shooting and was found inside the car, covered in blood, but otherwise unhurt.
She was also the only witness to the crime.
Some of the information gathered from an interview with her, plus evidence at the scene led Dickerson to his finding that it was a murder-suicide.
He says he is still waiting for autopsy results from the state crime lab.
