LAMAR, Miss.–A 32-year-old man died in a yard in the Lamar community of Marshall County, and the coroner believes heat is the likely reason.
The man died on Dowdy Rd. A relative found him in the yard. No name has been released. The man died Saturday.
An excessive heat warning is in effect for most of the Delta Wednesday, with the high expected at 100 and a heat index at 115. You are advised not to stay outside for long, to take frequent breaks, to drink plenty of water and wear loose-fitting, light-colored clothing.
