It has been a dangerous week in the Delta with a murder in Greenville, two shot in Cleveland, one fatally, and now a hit-and-run in Renova.
Monday at approximately 2:30 p.m. the Bolivar County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident on Twin Drive in Renova. The caller advised that a vehicle had hit a pedestrian.
Upon arriving, deputies discovered that two individuals had been struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene before deputies arrived and EMS and Bolivar County Fire Department were dispatched to the scene for assistance. Both individuals were transported to Bolivar Medical Center and later flown out to UMC in Jackson, MS. They all are in stable, but critical conditions. The accident is still under investigation.
