JACKSON, MS (256 AM CST Sat Jan 11 2020) — The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Tornado Warning for Morehouse Parish in northeastern Louisiana Northwestern West Carroll Parish in northeastern Louisiana until 400 AM CST. At 256 AM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 11 miles southeast of Huttig, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD: Tornado. SOURCE: Radar indicated rotation. Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near Beekman around 315 AM CST. Galion around 325 AM CST. Jones around 335 AM CST. Goodwill around 340 AM CST. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Mer Rouge and Bonita. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
