JACKSON, MS (701 PM CDT Sat Mar 28 2020) — The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northeastern Sunflower County in northwestern Mississippi Bolivar County in northwestern Mississippi until 745 PM CDT. At 701 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Sherard to near Deeson to near Jersey Point, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Severe thunderstorms will be near Shelby and Deeson around 705 PM CDT. Renova around 730 PM CDT. Mound Bayou around 735 PM CDT. Parchman and Rome around 745 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include Alligator, Winstonville, Beulah, Duncan, Pace and Merigold. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
