MEMPHIS, TN (348 PM CDT Fri Jun 5 2020) — The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southeastern Phillips County in eastern Arkansas Coahoma County in northwestern Mississippi West central Tallahatchie County in northwestern Mississippi Southwestern Quitman County in northwestern Mississippi until 415 PM CDT. At 348 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Sherard, or near Clarksdale, moving southeast at 45 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Clarksdale, Tutwiler, Jonestown, Dublin, Kings, Sherard, Coahoma, Lyon, Mattson, Rena Lara, Counts, Rudyard, Hopson, Bobo, Green Grove, Hillhouse, Beverly, Clover Hill, Lurand and Beaver Dam. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
