JACKSON, MS (421 PM CDT Fri Jun 5 2020) — The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Holmes County in central Mississippi Carroll County in north central Mississippi Southern Leflore County in north central Mississippi Attala County in central Mississippi Southern Montgomery County in north central Mississippi Eastern Humphreys County in central Mississippi until 530 PM CDT. At 421 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Quito to 6 miles west of Kilmichael, moving south at 35 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Severe thunderstorms will be near Itta Bena, Sidon and Quito around 425 PM CDT. Swiftown around 445 PM CDT. Hesterville around 450 PM CDT. Possumneck around 455 PM CDT. Belzoni around 500 PM CDT. Durant around 505 PM CDT. Thornton and Mcadams around 510 PM CDT. Goodman and Newport around 520 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include Silver City, Ethel, Carrollton, Sallis, West, Mccool, Morgan City and Cruger.
