JACKSON, MS (508 PM CDT Fri Jun 5 2020) — The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Leake County in central Mississippi Yazoo County in central Mississippi Madison County in central Mississippi until 630 PM CDT. At 508 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Brozville to near Kosciusko, moving south at 35 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Severe thunderstorms will be near Singleton around 520 PM CDT. Thomastown around 525 PM CDT. Carthage, Benton and Vaughan around 535 PM CDT. Myrleville around 550 PM CDT. Tuscola around 555 PM CDT. Canton around 605 PM CDT. Flora, Annandale and Gluckstadt around 610 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include Walnut Grove, Redwater, Standing Pine, Eden, Lena, Satartia and Bentonia. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
