JACKSON, MS (212 PM CDT Tue Jul 14 2020) — The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southwestern Chicot County in southeastern Arkansas Southeastern Ashley County in southeastern Arkansas until 315 PM CDT. At 212 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Portland, or 11 miles north of Wilmot, moving southeast at 10 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Eudora, Portland, Montrose and Parkdale. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
