MEMPHIS, Tenn.–He didn’t want to give up. But, a police dog convinced Malcom Kohn to surrender to U.S. Marshals at a house in Memphis Wednesday. He was wanted for a murder that happened last week in Greenwood. Kohn, 31, was found hiding under a bed. His initial refusal to surrender was met with the decision to let the K-9 officer handle him. Kohn had been wanted since Aug. 5, when Greenwood Police issued a warrant for his arrest in the Aug. 4 murder of Joshua Brewer, who was shot outside of a business and died at the hospital. The case was turned over to the U.S. Marshals, who determined he was hiding in Memphis. The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force and Memphis Police Department Fugitive Apprehension Team and their K-9 partner sniffed him out.
