COAHOMA COUNTY (Ben Caxton) — Coahoma County usually receives about $100,000 per month in casino revenue which is earmarked for capital improvements, equipment purchases, and road and bridge maintenance. But since Mississippi casinos are closed due to COVID-19, Coahoma County supervisors have cut about $30,000 in monthly appropriations to 16 non-government groups including CARES Animal Shelter, Region One Mental Health, Spring Initiative, the Clarksdale-Coahoma County Airport, North Delta Planning and Development, and the Red Cross.
