Cleveland Shooting Being Investigated

The police department is investigating a shooting that occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. near Cark and Johnson. Officers were patrolling the area when they heard shots being fired.

Deputies with the Bolivar County Sheriff’s Office also responded. They located a Jakavion Johnson near the intersection of Wade Grove and Church.

Jakavion had what appeared to be a single gunshot wound the the left upper chest area.  A juvenile was also located with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to his right arm. Neither could give any information concerning who shot at them.

A third subject, Christopher Miller, was caught trying to hide a firearm. A check of the firearm showed that it was reported stolen. He was arrested and transported to the Bolivar County Regional Correctional facility.
