GREENVILLE, Miss. — Four women were arrested Friday after Greenville police executed a court-authorized search warrant at a residence as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
According to the Greenville Police Department, members of the Special Response Team and Special Operations Unit carried out the search warrant at approximately 8:37 a.m. on May 15 at a home on Wallstreet Lane.
Police said officers announced their presence before entering the residence after receiving no response. Four adult women inside the home were safely detained while officers secured the residence and conducted a search.
During the investigation, officers recovered suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, syringes, digital scales, packaging materials and other items commonly associated with illegal narcotics activity.
The following arrests were made:
Tia Spencer, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Marsha Reid, charged with enhanced possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Tammie Smith, charged with enhanced possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Amanda Manning, charged with enhanced possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Investigators determined the residence was located within 1,000 feet of active churches, resulting in enhanced charges under Mississippi narcotics laws.
All four women were transported to the Greenville Police Department for processing.
Police said the investigation remains active, and additional arrests or charges may be forthcoming.
