Greenville Police Seize Narcotics During Search Warrant Operation

GREENVILLE, Miss. — A Greenville man was arrested Friday after authorities executed a search warrant at a residence and seized suspected narcotics and other evidence tied to alleged drug activity, according to the Greenville Police Department.
The department’s Special Operations Unit and Special Response Team executed the warrant on the morning of May 8 at a home in the 1600 block of Miller Drive.

During the operation, officers took 31-year-old Lawrence Woodruff into custody without incident while investigators secured the residence and conducted a detailed search of the property.

Authorities said the search led to the recovery of a significant quantity of suspected marijuana and other suspected controlled substances, along with multiple digital scales, packaging materials commonly associated with narcotics distribution, U.S. currency, ammunition and other items believed to be connected to illegal drug activity.
Police said all evidence was documented and collected at the scene.

Woodruff has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent, possession of methamphetamine with intent and possession of ecstasy with intent. He is being held at the Washington County Regional Correctional Facility pending his initial court appearance.

The investigation remains active, and authorities said additional charges could be filed pending further analysis of the seized evidence.

No injuries were reported during the execution of the warrant, police said.
