JACKSON, MS (1008 PM CDT Sat Mar 28 2020) — The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southern Sunflower County in northwestern Mississippi Leflore County in north central Mississippi Central Washington County in northwestern Mississippi Northern Humphreys County in central Mississippi Northwestern Sharkey County in west central Mississippi until 1115 PM CDT. At 1008 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Estill, or near Avon, moving northeast at 75 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe thunderstorm will be near Darlove around 1015 PM CDT. Tribbett around 1020 PM CDT. Inverness and Holly Ridge around 1025 PM CDT. Indianola and Moorhead around 1030 PM CDT. Sunflower around 1035 PM CDT. Itta Bena around 1040 PM CDT. Money and Sunnyside around 1050 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Arcola, Schlater and Morgan City. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
