MEMPHIS, TN (657 PM CDT Sat Mar 28 2020) — The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southeastern Lee County in eastern Arkansas Eastern Phillips County in eastern Arkansas Southwestern DeSoto County in northwestern Mississippi Northern Coahoma County in northwestern Mississippi Tunica County in northwestern Mississippi Western Tate County in northwestern Mississippi Northwestern Quitman County in northwestern Mississippi until 745 PM CDT. At 657 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Hughes to near Dundee to Sherard, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Clarksdale, Helena-West Helena, St Francis National Park, Jonestown, Friars Point, Tunica, Crenshaw, Sledge, Belen, Strayhorn, Eudora, Dubbs, North Tunica, Dundee, Arkabutla, Darling, Kings, Phillipp, Sherard and Robinsonville. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for eastern Arkansas: and northwestern Mississippi. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
