TATE COUNTY, Miss.–A school district plagued with bomb threats over the past couple of weeks was forced to close two schools because of threats Monday.
Both East Tate Elementary and Independence High School were closed, according to a post from the district.
“We want to be able to ensure your child’s safety by keeping them at home,” read the post. Independence High School has been the target of at least two other threats recently.
The Tate County Sheriff’s Dept. did not disclose the source of Monday’s threats. Neither did the district.
