YAZOO CITY, Miss.–The newest addition to the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Dept. is not a human, but a mechanical and electronic device. A drone has been added to the department’s tools.
According to the department, the drone has thermal imaging equipment, so deputies can look for people in the dark.
“If you know the history of the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office then you would understand how big of a step this is for the advancement of this administration,” read a Facebook post.
“This drone will mainly be used for search and rescue operations, but the opportunities are endless!”
